The Black Mountains were a mountain range in southern Enniare.
Description[]
Over ten miles high, the Black Mountains were the tallest mountains in Enniare. The peaks faded out of sight into the clouds: all that could be seen was a giant wall of ice and snow, as well as a tiny band of trees near the ground. The peaks are so high that not even a dragon rider could reach them.
The dwarves created large cities under and above the Black Mountains, the majority migrating there after the War of Dwarves and Ogres.
There were various animals that specifically inhabited the area were:
Coldrakes, or flying serpents
Valdornûst, or giant goat
Shai'tul, or giant wolf
Mekre, or giant boar
Orsat, or cave bear
All of these animals have dwarven clans dedicated after them.
Etymology[]
The elves named the mountains after the Blaak, the elvish name for the cave-dwelling bear native to the mountains. The real name of the mountains is a secret the dwarves do not tell to other races, not even adopted members of their clans.
